Brief Description :

The Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA), in partnership with the Rwanda Public Procurement Authority (RPPA), is inviting startups, innovators, and technology providers to submit proposals for the development of an AI-Powered Commodity Classification System for the UMUCYO e-Procurement platform. The proposed solution will leverage Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing to automatically extract, standardize, and classify commodity specifications from unstructured text data. This will address a key limitation in Rwanda’s procurement system by enabling precise “apples-to-apples” comparisons, enhancing spend analysis, improving supplier matching, and reducing duplication. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a national-level digital transformation initiative and demonstrate the power of innovation in solving real public sector challenges.
