Welcome to digital skills app

The Digital Skills App is a tool where professionals in the ICT sector can explore and access various training opportunities tailored to their skill development needs and career growth.

Through the Digital Skills App, staff (users) can view all available training courses, review course details, and enroll in the ones that align with their interests and professional goals.

For training courses that require payment, an additional step is required to confirm the participant's commitment. Trainees must sign an individual staff contract, which serves as a formal agreement for their participation.

Once an application is submitted, it undergoes a review and approval process by RISA (Rwanda Information Society Authority). Upon approval, the trainee is required to download the staff contract, obtain a signature from their employer (CBM), and submit the signed document back to RISA. This step is necessary to facilitate the processing of payment for the training.

Workflow Steps for Users

Step 1: Access the Digital Skills App

  • Log in to the Digital Skills App using your credentials.

  • Navigate to the training section to explore available programs

Step 2: Browse, Select and Apply for Training

  • View all available training programs in the IT sector.

  • Check course title and details, including duration, delivery mode and costs (if applicable).

  • Click on Enroll to select the training course that aligns with your skills and career goals.

Step 3: Approval Process by RISA

  • Wait for RISA to review and approve the application.

  • You will receive a notification once your application is shortlisted.

Step 4: Contract Signing for Paid Training (Only for paid training courses)

  • Download the individual staff contract from the app.

  • Have the contract signed by your employer (CBM).

  • Upload the signed contract to the Digital Skills App.

  • Submit the document to RISA for payment processing.

Step 5: Enrollment Confirmation & Training Access

  • Once the contract is verified, RISA processes the payment.

  • You will receive final confirmation and access to the training program.

  • Start your training and enhance your digital skills.
